Shokran Moroccan Grill: User Reviews
Shokran Moroccan Grill
4027 W. Irving Park Rd. - Chicago773-427-9130
Chicago lacked a great Moroccan restaurant until Shokran arrived. Take this from someone who knows Moroccan food very well. The emphasis in this restaurant is on quality, taste, and authenticity. U can taste all three in the variety of dishes and appetizers. My favorites without question are the Pastila as an appetizer, the lamb atlas, and the tilapia. For fish lovers, the latter is cooked in a magical blend of spices and lemon that give the "sharmoula" sauce its unique and exquisite taste. The grilled platter which includes the signature Moroccan sausage (Merguez) is also a treat for all meat lovers. Don't forget to order some jasmin mint tea to add an extra kick to the wonderful flavors. All in all, an extraordinary experience for ur taste buds. U'll be coming back!!!

Shokran has really been a nice improvement to this neighborhood. Here's why:
> Service/hospitality is always warm and welcoming
> Ambiance is at once exotic and relaxing
> Menu is varied. Something for everyone (whether adventurous or "ethnically timid")
> Food is consistently delicious
> BYOB (the kebabs pair so well with a big red wine!)
> Price is reasonable and a good deal for the quality/service
I've been visiting since this place first opened and I'm happy to have them in our area.

Great little neighborhood restaurant where the lamb kabob is the best in the city. Nice assortment of entrees and side dishes and priced right. Chocolate baklava a great finish.
Worth a journey.

This is Restaurant has the best Moroccan food I ever had. It's a BYOB restaurant. I like the changes they made. They have all different kind of tagines and couscous. The kebabs from the grill are phenominal.

My wife and I have been to lot of Moroccan restaurants in the Chicago region, but none can compare in our estimation with Shokran Moroccan Grill. The food is outstanding and the service is wonderful. And what a value. We live about 40 miles away and we still eat there several times a month. The atmosphere is very relaxing too. This is food at it's best.

This was my first time having Moroccan food and I loved it. I highly recommend eating in the "comfy room" where you kinda sprawl out on benches with plush cushions. The food was delicious and the service was great! Don't forget to bring quarters for parking though :( The value was great because we had a coupon
