We ordered our food and were kept waiting for 45 minutes while being told that "it's on the way". When it arrived atlast, we were given something totally different from what we ordered. Upon asking the reply I got was "Oh, but we gave you chicken kebab instead". I told them that they should have atleast asked me if they didn't have what I ordered for instead of taking the liberty to prepare and give me whatever they felt like. Would never go back. Food is very similar to Iranian, and if you want great Kebabs there are 10 other places ( ex, Rezas ) that are so muhc better

Once my girlfriend and I tried the food here (tagine, baklava, tea etc.)...we loved it... We couldnt wait to share our joy...so, we decided to take another couple to the restaurant... Unfortunately, all of us were disappointed by the service....
1) the waiter (owner i guess) was trying to be funny but he was awful
2) slow service even on a day it was not crowded
3) After having enough appetizers, one of my friends decided to pass the entree 'cos she was not hungry anymore...so, 3 of us ordered one entree each and she decided to have a small appetizer....BUT, shockingly, the waiter said "each of us have to order ONE entree"... we couldn't beleive it and were looking at each others face :)
What can she do if she doesnt feel like eating an entree? He was just standing there and telling us "we HAVE to order"....we just decided not to ruin our night by dealing with him...so, we decided to buy an entree that we didnt eat.
It is sad when you have experiences like these how it kind of ruins the get together...
anyways...
bottom line:food is good...but thewaiters/policies/owners have to be rational and provide better service...

never returning, horrible service (slow) - waited 20 min for order despite being the only party in the restaurant (Sunday early evening).
waiter was huffy when one of us requested soup...insisted on one entree per person, despite literally empty restaurant other than our group of 5.
girlfriend wanted us to try mint tea, which unlike a prior experience of hers, tasted like sugar syrup. large pitcher was $10 - overpriced sugar water...yum. informed server of the odd taste...which he promptly failed to fix.
food was fine but overpriced, nothing astounding: Rabat Tanine was bland, Andalous Tagine looked like Kraft shredded cheese was thrown on top, Famous Couscous was only dish worth ordering.
do yourself a favor: save your time, appetite, and wallet for elsewhere.

My family took me out to Andalous on Sunday for lunch. We were the only people at 1.00 pm. We had read good reviews about the place but were skeptical even then.
We are vegetarians and it was nice to see a "vegetarian" section. The Harira soup was excellent. Nice and hot for a cold day! We ordered almost all the vegetarian entrees and each one of them was good. There is just one item for dessert which is not upto the mark. We paid $6.50 for the dessert which was only one that was not worth it. The mint tea is awesome. It is slightly more expensive than what I thought it would be but definitely worth a try for a special occasssion

I've dined here on several occasions and had a great experience each time. Every dish I've tried has been absolutely delicious. The portions are large & satisfying...you get a lot for your dollar here (especially with BYOB!!). While it's true that the service isn't the greatest, it's definitely worth the wait.

If you have about 3 hours to enjoy a good meal and don't mind waiting FOREVER for your food, go here. The food was very good, but the service was terrible. We had to ask the waiter to come take our order, we got no attention during the over 1 hour period while our food was being prepared, and we had to ask for the check.

I have introduced this hidden little eatery to both in-town and out-of-town friends. I brought of group of 6 six in recently. We were the first ones there. The owner not only took the time to pick out a dish that was just right for each of my guests, but he entertained us with some stories and his superb mint tea while we waited for the food. For those of you interested in wonderful food within a quaint atmosphere, do understand it is a small restaurant and there will likely be a wait (I don't believe they take reservations for small parties). The food also takes a bit longer than normal to arrive, but that's just the way it is... I promise it's well worth it. Just think of it as more time to spend with your date! I get the chicken pastilla every time!

We were a party of 10, when the waiter came to take our order, we were not ready; we were given a 2 MINUTES timeframe to decide what we wanted. I thought the waiter was kidding, but to my surprise he came back in exactly 2 minutes and rushed us into ordering. The food was great, but we couldn't enjoy it fully since the some of the plates were taken off our table without even finishing. The check was brought to us 5 munites later withouth us even asking for it because we were plannin gon having dessert. When we asked about dessert, they said they DIDN'T HAVE ANY!! and the check was brought back to us one more time. We were paying with 3 different credit cards, to which our waiter said that they could only take 2 cards. I went to speak to a different waiter, since this gentleman had already made our evening not too pleasurable. The other water accepted the 3 cards. We were finishing up our last coup of wine after paying, at which point the water came to tell us that we had to leave because other people were waiting for the table! Some nerve!! Especially since our party had a reservation from a few days in advance. They should learn how not to bite more than they can chew!
