As a local, this is one of my favorite spots to eat. The food is consistent, authentic, and very satisfying. we've been three times, never ordered the same thing twice, and never been disappointed. Service is not "great" by American standards (our waitress once waited on our table while on her cell), but they are very warm, welcoming, and recognize us each time we go back. Most importantly, the food is worth it, and very affordable.

Terrific Turkish food. Amble portions with fresh ingredients. Love their appetizers and the kabobs, especially the lamb. Great BYOB!

I ate hear recently. Unfortunately the food and atmosphere are not the best representation of Turkish cuisine. The dining room lacks proper air conditioning. The food is inconsistent at best. The cigar boreks were hot and delicious but the shish kebab and bakalava left much to be desired. The Turkish coffee was not prepared correctly. Service is slower than most places but I tend to expect that from a mom and pop operation.

If you are looking for authentic, exceptional Turkish cuisine this is the place to go. I've tried just about every Turkish restaurant in Chicago and non come close to the quality of the food here. The Iskender Kebab is as close to what you would get at a restaurant in Turnkey (I lived there for many years). That said, the service is horrible. My boyfriend and I have to mentally prepare ourselves for a disappointing service every time. It takes about two hours to dine even if there are no other occupied tables. PLEASE, either bring in wait staff with experience or teach the two guys who work there how to multitask - it will make their lives easier and your customer's will enjoy the outstanding food that you offer.

Food was fine....tough to mess up kebabs right? Atmosphere - was pretty empty on a Fri nite....felt bad for the belly dancer dancing in a somewhat empty/disinterested room. Service was spotty, odd for how empty it was. Prices were real fair and it is BYOB. I have been there twice now. I prob don't need to go back a 3rd time but if you are in the area and like Turkish food, its worth a shot.
