I love Kan Zaman...I loved it when it was in Andersonville...and it has only gotten better! Whether you are a vegetarian or a meat lover this is the place for you. The Falafel are the best! Kabobs...all of them...one yummier then the other. The vegetarian platter is excellent. The lamb, Beef, Chicken dishes are all delicious. Owner is so nice. Nice new addition to the staff....sweet personality....great service....she is great!
Thanks Kan Zaman....you never disappoint.

We just got back from this restaurant and we really had a great time. We went on a Friday night about 6:30 and had no problem getting a table. We brought a bottle of wine...which is always nice! We ordered the veggie combo appetizer. All of the dips were really good and the grape leaves were the best we've had. We each had the lentil soup, it was very tasty. I ordered the beef kabobs, the waiter recommended them and she was right on! I'm not usually one to like to moan when I eat but I seriously couldn't help myself. With each bite I was literally in heaven. My husband ordered the lamb kabobs and he thought they were really good but agreed that the beef kabobs that I ordered was much better. After dinner we ordered the apple hookah and that was very refreshing but will no longer be served after the first of the year (2008) due to the new smoking law. Too bad though because that was really fun...even though we're not smokers. The experience overall was fantastic and we'll definitely go back and will recommend it to our friends and family. We spent $60.00 (not including tip) for a combo appetizer, soup for each of us, each had an entree, one dessert and one coffee. You should go....it was the best Lebanese resturant we've been to in this city.

I recently took some out of towners to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday, and it proved to be a great choice. We enjoyed a cozy dinner in one of the cushioned boothes, where we had a great view of the belly dancer performance. I'd warn taller guests or larger groups to reserve a table in advance for more space. All in all, the atmosphere, food, and service made this dinner experience different than a normal night of going out to dinner. Great menu for meat eaters and the vegetarians in the group with the added bonus of BYOB and flavored hooka. I'll definitely be making frequent trips back!

Went on a Saturday night and the place was hopping with a nice mix of people (mainly locals). We had the chicken takoosh and the falafel. The falafel was very good and the chicken was pretty good too. Baklava and arabian coffee are a must! Very nice atmosphere and value. We will be back for sure.

This place is consistently great! Each time I've been the food was outstanding. The service was good as well - they were very attentive and nice. I appreciate that they don't bother their tables too much and you are free to sit as long as you'd like. It's a refreshing change from other places where you feel rushed and they are more concerned with table turn-over than your dining experience. Plus, you can't beat the BYOB.

Great food! Terrific service! The owner of the restaurant visits each table in order to welcome you to his restaurant. I highly recommend the dolma and lentil soup.

Just not what it once was. We were walking around the neighborhood and every restaurant had an hour or more wait. We were surprised to find an old favorite Kan Zaman only 20% full. As our dinner progressed we discovered why. Our waitress was inattentive and when present lacked any common sense. There were three men clearly involved in the business who simply stood at the reception desk chatting and made no effort to attend to the customers. The music was at a loud level more appropriate for the cleaning crew than for the couples and families trying to converse over dinner. The only service that stood out was that of the water boy and the bus boys. We'll think long and hard before going back. Nothing is worse than giving your money to someone who shows absolutely zero appreciation that you came. Our fellow diners seemed to feel similarly and the many empty tables spoke volumes.
