My chef girlfriend & I think this place is excellent. Always very fresh ingredients & made-to-order. They season the beef & lamb perfectly; their sauces are just right too. Very reasonably priced & generous portions.

Found this place earlier this year. Have been back dozens of times!! Food is great quality, inexpensive, fresh and consistently awesome!! Service has always been friendly and excellent!

Poor delivery service!

The delivery service (and whom I believe is only one person b/c it's always him) is bad. I can only give one instance that I won't forget. He calls up to the apt from his cell phone, and he answers "it's cold out here." Of course I wasn't sure who it was. When he told me it was the delivery person, I buzzed him up. He calls later and stated that he "was still out there, and it's cold." He stated that the buzzer didn't work. I tried it again with him on the other line. It didn't work. So I told him I'm sorry and that I'd be right down. I get there, and there's no one there. I thought perhaps he was at the wrong address. I called him back, but his phone went to voicemail, twice. I called Babylon and told them the situation. They said they would call him to return to the right address. 10 minutes later, he calls back. But as soon as I pick up the phone, he hangs up. At this point, I went downstairs again. Again, no one was there. 1 minute later, a car pulls up and it's the guy. He's complaining that there was no place for him to park b/c there was a car that wanted to go around him, and it's a one way. I'm looking on the street and there's 4 open spots available. It's not even zone parking. He's blaming me for having him drive around the block 3 times and complaining about the cold. Okay, first of all, you're a delivery guy. That's your job to brave the cold weather. It's chicago. Second, it was only 26 degrees. That's NOTHING. It's november, and yes, the transition from fall to early winter was near, but 26 degrees, in Chicago? Are you kidding me? He never apologized, and he was unprofessional in the way he answers the phone. This isn't the first time I've had issues with him, but this one stuck out the most. I will not be ordering from this place again due to the lack of consistent delivery service...doing his job whether it's cold or windy or rainy.

Went back to Babylon after a few months, and was i happy. I haven't had time to visit my favorite middle eastern restaurant, because of all my traveling. Boy was i happy to be back. Still the same (delicious). I ordered hummus, Babylon chk kabob w rice and lentil soup, and baklava. My plate was cleaned, not even a piece of rice was left. Boy is this place a steal... Excellent food babylon, I Love Your Food, see ya next week!

that owner at BABYLON really new what he was doing opening in that location, The food is always great the veggies are always fresh. I'll be there for dinner, so meet me there.

I have eaten at Babylon several times. Their food is consistently good, but their service is consistenly awful. During 3 separate visits, the wait time between placing an order and being served was over 55 minutes! The server fails to communicate if and why the meals are delayed. She never offers a solution (like bringing out soup or a cold dish first), never provides an update on how much longer and never gives a sincere apology. I have wasted too much time sitting and waiting at Babylon... I will not be back!!

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Babylon is my new addiction. Just moved to the area and I love falafel and hummus. Must i say this is the best of the best. I love this place, i eat there every Friday. The other great thing about Babylon is that they Are BYOB, so eat drink and enjoy!

The best middle eastern food by far!

Talk about tasty. Being middle eastern i've never had barbaque shawerma. I tried a combo of chk n beef bbq shawerma last week and my taste buds are screaming for it today. This is a great authentic tasty middle eastern joint. i loved it. You gotta know real midlle eastern food to eat real middle eastern food. Babylon is my new spot, goodbye to all other middle eastern restaurants, and hello Babylon.

The food is great. If you are looking for delicious food, this place is a great choice. Try the Chilla Fry Entre or sandwich. The Potato chops are good too. I've only ordered Delivery from this restuarant and hence can comment only on the food.
