I thought this place was good! My husband had the carne asade and it was REALLY good, I had the enchiladas suizas and it was good but a little bland. The margaritas were tasty and strong and the salsa was a little spicy which I liked. We will definitely go back again.

No matter how many times we asked to reduce the ice on the pitchers of margaritas, they just didn't do it. Expensive pitchers filled to the rim with ice is pointless and blatent markup that barely filled 4 small glasses.
Food was great, cannot complain about that.

Just plain bad. Service terrible. Prices terrible. We were seated by the door and it was constantly being opened and slammed shut with a huge bang. The food was incredibly bland and so expensive. I honestly can't believe that this place is still open(and maybe it is not) but I'll never know because I would never go back. A perfect example of how not to do business. Go to El Tapatio or El Tinajon instead or you will be sorry.

Decided to try the neighborhood Mexican fare tonight. We ordered a taco dinner and an appetizer and two lemonades for $37. Without informing us, they charged an extra $5 for a shrimp taco making it the most expensive taco dinner in the city. Quality of food and service were average. There are much better values and ambiance within walking distance.

I was here with my girlfriends and we were expecting great things, however the food, price and service was below average. The margaritas were watery and extremely expensive, food had no flavor whatsoever, out of all the great mexican restaurants in Chicago, I can't believe it is still open! I'd rather go to Tony's!

Nice space and great outdoors. Unfortunately the food was bland and doesn't hold up against other latin restaurants. The guacamole is bland and processed, entrees lack zip and flavor. Was looking for something more authentic (Los Nopales) and found tourist cuisine (La Canasta).

Was at their Southprt location years back and enjoyed it yet how things change! Went to their Roscoe village location and the food is way overpriced! I had the ground beef burrito and it was very bland. My boyfriend had the fajitas and at $16.95...their was hardly any steak in them and they were not impressive. Our waiter disappeared after our meals and we had to flag him down for the check. Not worth another visit.

I've been here twice and the first time I thought was pretty good, the service was decent, Margarita's tasty, and the carne asada was was really good. But I went there with a group of five on Friday and was not impressed. My fajitas were good but not better than most most places, just more expensive.... my friend got tacos which she thought were nothing special, when they are much cheaper elsewhere....and my boyfriend got a burrito which he found absolutely awful because all it had inside it was dried out chicken and a ton of gaucamole. He didnt send it back because he was hungry and our waiter never once came to check on us. When he WAS around, he served us our margaritas and seemed like he never poured before because he got it all over the table in front of my friend and then didnt wipe it up. Then when we got our bill, he gave us the wrong and more expensive one (hmmm, double dropping?) and then on the right bill, we saw that gratuity was added- no biggie-except that they wanted 20%. Our waiter didnt even deserve ten and obviously the cooks arent so fabulous either if they cant make a burrito right! We wont be back and if you like Mexican, there are tons of better places around.

I have eaten at Que Rico twice and am not impressed with the food. It is very bland and quite disappointing for a new restaurant in the neighborhood. Do not waste your time or your money. Instead, I would recommend that you go to El Tinajon down the street or to Caoba on Damen in Wicker Park.

Horrible. Expensive for what you get! They charged us 10 dollars for coca-colas. Apparently there were no refills- but the waiter never told us that! He just let us order cokes. For that price, I would have ordered beers! The food was not that great! They really don't give you any guacamole with the main entrees. I am better off down the street at El Tinajon( cheap and awesome)
