Located just east of the "Welcome to Little Village" archway on 26th St., Los Dos Laredos is brightly lit, colorful restaurant featuring an extensive menu of Mexican favorites. Sharable parrilladas (mixed grill platters) are specialties of the house and serve either two or four persons. The massive platter includes skirt steak, beef ribs, pork chops, bacon and Mexican sausage with grilled vegetables, rice and refried beans. Rotisserie roasted chicken is another bestseller. Several types of burritos, enchiladas and tacos are also offered. Breakfast items include Mexican omelets and other egg dishes like the machacado con huevo, a dish of shredded flank steak with scrambled eggs, onions tomatoes and hot peppers. Daily lunch specials are generally under $5 and are available from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
