If there's one thing Lalo's is especially well known for, it's the margarita. It comes in lemon, strawberry, kiwi, peach and mango flavors. Lalo's is named after its owner, Eduardo "Lalo" Castaneda. The family-owned business started on 26th Street in 1971; the Castaneda brothers now own several restaurants throughout Chicagoland (including another nearby at 3515 W. 26th St.). Lalo's Restaurants are also known for authentic Mexican seafood, charcoal steak and enchilada dinners. Lunch specials and carry outs available. Party trays for 25 people or more available with one-day notice.
