La Casa de Isaac Mexican Restaurant: User Reviews
La Casa de Isaac Mexican Restaurant

We went to La Casa de Isaac on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. While the place was packed, we were lucky enough to get a table for 8 without a wait. The service was great, the margaritas were delicious, fresh and homemade, and the food was to die for. For both meat-lovers and vegetarians alike, the food was some of the best we have had; traditional mexican fare with fresh ingredients and an upscale twist. We will definitely be back!

There was a film by the above name a while back about a lady who lost her love. When she created food all the love in her heart went into this food. I was never a big fan of Mexican food till my friend took me to La Casa de Isaac for a special occassion. We ate a house specialty Mama Nava's favourite Chicken Enchiladas. They were so delicious it was practically a sensual experience. Delicious chicken wrapped in corn tortillas covered with all the good stuff and topped with sour cream and quacamole. This was the best Mexican food I ever ate. It melted in my mouth, warmed my stomach on a cold winter's night and I just cannot express in words how much I loved this dish and this restaurant. I really believe one of these TV people like Steve Dolinsky should do a story about a good old fashioned restaurant run by a family, using their beloved mother's family recipes. The food and the place are winners. I just hope they don't run out of space for me because I know I will dine there often! The best Mexican restaurant I have ever been too.

My friend and I learned about this place at Temple. I was surprised that it was owned by the familly I befriended at a previous restaurant. This place is both cozy and warm. The owners ,make sure the food is exactly the way you want it . They offer very reasonable, very delicious meals. The main thing I have noticed people say and it rings true-you can taste the freshness in the food. I was eating there one night and I was trying to figure out what was so familiar about this rib eye steak and vegetables. I finally figured it out. My mother cooked delicious dinners like this. My fater was stationed in Laredso, Texas during WW11(the big one). During that time my mother learned to cook delicious Mexican foods just like Moshe and Isaac's mother cooked. My mom's food was so good, people always said she should open a restaurant I am so proud my friend Moshe and his brother's did this. I predict they will have a great future! This morning we tried the eggs mexicana and cocoa. Everything was fantasticoi! I would like to say more, but I hope you readers will come visit and see for themselves.

I've been going to Isaac's every week since its opening, and what a great place! The people are great, the food is beyond fantastic. I've sampled pretty much everything on the menu now, and can firmly say I've found the best thing next to going to Mexico in Issac's. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is stunningly tasty, and very affordable. There is a reason you will wait for a table, the food is remarkable, the atmostphere is like being at your Mexican mother's house over for a great meal!
I cannot imagine a week going by without stopping by Isaac's for some of the best chips 'n salsa I've ever tasted. Not to even start with the menu, since it is all so great, just go and expect the best, cause you will get it.

Report This ReviewI can say that the service and the food is outstanding and what makes the difference in La Casa de Isaac is the people. They are welcoming and worm and most importantly, they want to make sure you are please. Their posole (soupe) is out of this world and if you drinked the night before, I highly reconmend to have it next day in the morning. Their huevos rebueltos (scramble eggs)where great this morning and look forward to came and eat at La Casa de Isaac as often as I can. Their food is truly taisty a fresh every time.
Report This ReviewFresh, Fresh, Fresh. Have been to this small neighborhood place for lunch 3 times, with friends...all have been duly impressed with the presentation and flavor of the menu offerings. Everything has been so good, and the quality shines through. Mother's Favorite Enchiladas are not to be missed. Have never seen a presentation of the simple taco look so good. Chimachangas and burritos are the size of small blimps! Breakfast is also served, and the chard to find Chilaquiles are on the menu. Isaac and his staff are so welcoming. He even brought Mama out to meet us, and thanks us profusely each time we come in. Hope this small place attracts big crowds, even if it slows down the service. This is not necessarily a place you go for atmosphere, but shouldn't be missed for the food, homey atmosphere, and graciousness of the host.
Report This ReviewExeptionally good Mexican Food in a friendly environment. The Don Julio's Margaritas are made fresh and complement the meal. The staff are eager to please. Isaac Nava and his family are committed to making sure everything about the meal is "right". They deserve a "5" on the scale of "4 stars".
