Where do you take your partner's parents for dinner when they are visiting from Mexico? We brought them to our favorite - and they were blown away. Called the owner over and complimented her. Best patio dining in the city!

One star is too much for this place. I am not sure what others ate here that reviewed the restaurant or if they ever had Mexican food before, but this place was AWEFUL! I have never had Mexican food this bad. No flavor in the meat, steak burnt, rices was crap, EVERYTHING was bad. I would have rather ate at Taco Bell. Save yourself the money and go there instead of this restaurant

Great food, beautiful outside patio, excellent service, easy parking. My husband asked the server what his favorite menu item was and ordered that. It was a very unique chicken and peach dish which was absolutely delicious. They happily accommodated my picky "nothing spicy" tastes. Great sangria too! We will definitely go back.

What a wonderful experience for our taste buds when we recently dined at El Nuevo Mexicano! Everything was delicious, the service friendly and experienced, and the atomosphere delightful.

Great margaritas and fish tacos. Caught it on one of the warm days this month and the outdoor patio was hopping. Carne Asada was melt in your mouth. Good ceviche.

"Everytime I visit Chicago El Mexicano is a must stop. I have been going there for years. My husband always gets their fabulous enchiladas suizas, very authentic. I personally like to try new things and there is always something new and fresh on the menu. Don't pass up their salmon with chipotle mashed potatoes! Excellent. I read the review about the poor service...never had that experience. On the contrary. The atmosphere, in my opinion, is always welcoming coupled with attentive service. I'll be back! D.D.K."

Love this place!!! I was just visiting Chicago and wasn't quite sure where to eat & somebody recommended this place to me. I am so glad they did!!! Hopefully I will get to go back sometime soon.

Anyway, this restaurant has great atmosphere. I loved looking at the great rustic looking art on the walls. The garden in the back is also very nice & romantic! And of course I loved the food!!! Definitely authentic Mexican & super delicious!!!!!

OMG!!! AWESOME! Really! We walked by and decided to have margaritas - stayed for dinner and had the best Mexican food I have ever had in Chicago. The waiters are great & friendly. We felt like queens! Going back for mucho more!
