I have been at the restaurant a few times and thought the food was decent. However the last time I went I branched out and tried some of the specials. Wow the food was incredible. Try the ceviche, it is better than I have had in Miami. The Salmon in salsa was to die for. My friends love the carnitas. I don't really care for that dish. I would go for the fish at this place.

A gem of a Mexican restaurant

My wife and I have been dinning here since 1999, and the food, service and value have always been outstanding. Some of the servers have been there for years (which is nice). Everyone there makes you feel at home. The food comes out fast, fresh and very hot. Please don't change a thing!!

great food- not your typical mexican fare

We stumbled upon this place while going to the movies on Clark and were pleasantly suprised to find excellent food. I had the tres chimichangas with a great beef/potato/bean filling and my fiance had a very flavorful pork dish. The service was fast and friendly and we dined on the outdoor patio behind the restaurant. We will definitely go again!

Best mexican in Chicago. The service is great. The place is a little small, but it only adds to the atmosphere. Not quite sure how someone could dislike this place.

Great spot to get more than just the typical mex food. Great margaritas, love the talapia dishes and the carne asada (great flavor). If you like spicy, get the pork dish with mole and mango salsa - the best!

Wandered by after the cubs game and were we surprised once we walked through the door. A whole other world of cool latin music, hugely friendly staff, and a really beautiful, enclosed patio out back away from the traffic. We decided to have drinks and appetizers to start off, and stayed for more drinks, and what I would consider a very delicious
dinner - Tilapia Enchiladas. Something I would probably never have ordered but our waiter said it was really great -and it was superb! The chicken empanadas were outstanding - excellent tomatillo salsa. Our margaritas were shaken at our table - which was a nice touch and our waiter even left the shaker for a couple of extra sips later on. We will definitely hit this place everytime we are in the vicinity. Tip: Ask the staff for suggestions on the specials menu - apparently it's new creations from the chef & owner and changes frequently.

Our first time here and I was very impressed with the creative menu - good twists like grilled salmon with chipotle with peaches. That dish was killer. We also loved the pomegranate margaritas. This has been recommended by three friends - and it was a winner in our book.
Try the chicken empanadas and camarones al mojo de ajo too.

This used to be a hidden gem, but has now turned into every other Mexican restaurant in the city. The food is no longer authentic. We were very disappointed!
