Fish special-red snapper- was not cooked and uneatable. Steak was way overcooked. Waitress never came back to ask how anything was, when we complained about the snapper and asked for an adjustment, they took it off the bill. Margaritas were very so-so. Overall-probably never go back.
Report This ReviewOur recent dinner at this new Bucktown establishment was a COMPLETE disappointment. Despite it's great location, the most enjoyable part of our experience was the street view from our table at the doorway. We each ordered margaritas and were less than pleased with them only to be followed by sub-par entrees. Bottom line, you can find better Mexican food elsewhere in the city. Do not be tempted by the location, you will be disappointed.
Report This ReviewFood is great and service is not. If you are in a rush to get to your next destination, this is not the place for you but if you want to relax and have some great grilled meat or seafood with your margarita in a nice summer day, this place is great.
Report This ReviewBad experience. First, there's no hostess stand. So, you don't know who to talk to or where to sit. Once we were sat, we ordered drinks that never came. We reordered them (margaritas) and when we finally got them they were blended (were supposed to be on the rocks) and watered down. The table next to us complained b/c they were waiting for their tab for half an hr. We got apps w/ no plates. Had to grab our own silverware. It was a mess.
Report This ReviewOverall, you can tell this place is still 'new'. The servers are overly eager to please -- constantly pestering while you try to eat ( once is okay, but, asking if 'everything's okay' four or five times? Come on! ). The food is amazing, but I have had better at more hip Mexican joints. Overall, I give this place 2 stars. Don't try it when you're really hungry and looking for something to 'satisfy'. Try it more after an amazing meal somewhere else -- maybe just for desert.
Report This ReviewWe have been waiting for this place to open and it proved to be worth it! Staff was so friendly and decor was clean and comfortable. Ceviche was awesome! Looking forward to the outdoor seating. This will be our place to eat and watch games (3 flat screens). Try this place!
Report This ReviewWalked by and saw it full so decided we decided to try their food and are we glad we did. The Carne Asada was great and their huacamole was served in a stone dish. Very tasty food and great ambience.
Next time I will try their sea food served on a hot mexican grill.
Report This ReviewEven though this spot just opened, i would suggest that you go now before word really spreads and you have to wait to get a table. The service was amazing, and the chips and salsa are delicious! We devoured the marisco platter and found it unbelievably delicious. Trust me on this one...
Report This ReviewGreat new restaurant in the Bucktown area. Service needs improvement but you can tell they are trying as the staff is new and very attentive.
I ordered their carne asada and it was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. The best carne asada I have had yet.
Try their pitcher of Sangria as it is the best around.
Report This ReviewI have never been prompted to go online to write a review for a restaurant, but this place was so HORRIBLE that I had to get on here and warn people. My friend and I went here for dinner tonight (all excited about a new Mexican place in Bucktown) and it was a complete disaster. The carne asada was pretty tough and I'm thinking it was pretty old by the smell of it. My friend ordered the baby-back ribs with sweet potatoe fries at the suggestion of our waitress. The waitress brought her entree, and after my friend took a few bites she showed up and said: we gave you the wrong entree. They then proceeded to take it back and replace it with a completely unedible entree - and then charge us double for the entree she didn't order! Please, please, please take my advice - don't get trapped spending any money here. It is the worst food in Chicago.
