Adobo Grill: User Reviews
Very disappointing. The margaritas are way too tart and not even close to the caliber of Caesar's. The menu is limited and tasteless. The inside is very nice, but so is my apartment and I make better margaritas.

There were 6 of us and none of us will ever return. Our waitress was very rude and snooty, and after tasting the bland very expensive food, we were very disappointed overall. There seemed to be a air about the place, as if they were doing us a favor by letting us dine there, it was terrible all around, service, food and very very expensive for what you get and the quality of the food. I sent an email to them letting them know, never heard back from them. I would think they would be interested in hearing the experience diners are receiving, but apparently not.

The Wells St. outpost used to really wow me, but their service was god-awful. At the WP location, I find it's just the opposite-the service is okay, but for some reason, the food isn't as flavorful. The good news: the guac is KILLER at either location, which almost makes it worth the wait. Almost.

If you ask for flour tortillas, you will be rather snootily informed that Adobo runs a "flour-free kitchen." Great for it, but, as much as I like Adobo, I like flour tortillas even more, and cannot abide corn tortillas. Therefore, I choose other upscale Mexican restaurants that cater to customers' desires rather than to the chef's. If one can't get what they want at a restaurant, then the value is low.

My mom, sister, and I went to Adobo while waiting for our Second City show to begin. The wait staff was very attentive, making sure our glasses were full and clearing plates as soon as we finished. The tableside guacamole was the best guac I've ever had...absolutely delicious. The food was amazing as well, but the portions are small for the amount it costs. The atmosphere is very good as well.

The food was great! The large selection of Tequilas is amazing, a little pricey, but worth every penny. The atmosphere was really authentic.

The decor is welcoming and interesting. The service was good, not excellent. The food was good, but a bit costly. I expected more for the money. I do want to try out their tequila and dinner tasting on Wednesdays.

Great guacamole. Not great service- slow and won't make any changes to your order. They charge you for EVERYTHING. If you ask for a little more salsa, they'll charge you! Every single thing costs you! The food was good but pricey. I just don't think it's worth it!

The decor and ambiance at this restaurant is wonderful. The drinks were good and the value of the drinks was reasonable. On the other hand, the overall value and food was unworthy. The food portions were small and the taste and flavor was terrible. I will not come back and will tell my friends not to go there. A dinner for two with drinks(2) will run you about $90-$100.
