The food here is well above average. Prices go from $2.95 for a bowl of soup to $12.95 for a kebab dinner with rice. The appetizers, from $2.95 to $5.95 are a very good value, as are the sandwiches. No alcohol served.

This is the first time we have tried Lebanese food and it was very very good. The three of us ordered a kebab combo which came with 3 skewers , rice and salad. We also ordered the babakanuch and falafel plate. They gave us a dip, pita chips and bread also. Everything was wonderful. We enjoy trying new ethnic dishes. We will make the trip to this restaurant in Albany Park again.Highly recommend.

Prices may have gone up, but Al Khaymeih is still a fantastic value. Get the Kebab combo and you will not be disappointed. There is certainly enough food for two or even three diners. The pita, feta and olives are great and the hummous is stellar. Albany park is a bit offbeat but a bastion of amazing food and gritty ethnic ambiance.

Have gotten the combo shawarma (beef and chicken) twice - about $15 for two people - but it could easily feed three (even hungry guys), and maybe even four. Smoked meat is incredible. Comes with pickled beets, olives (with seeds), warm pitas, white rice, and a lettuce/tomato/oil-vinegar mix. Ate in once, and only one server was on, but she was personal and sweet (though wasn't sure about an English word or two). Can call ahead with order to go - they'll package everything separately and won't skimp on portions.

This restaurant is not very consistent. Some menu items are good while others are not. Overall however the quality of the food is lacking.
Report This Reviewthis place is a hidden gem.
the vegetarian food is the best you'll find. the falafel, dolma, baba, tabouli, foul are all exceptional. their lentil soup is absolutely perfect. haven't tried the meat so can't comment on that. the only thing that i don't like about this place is that you have to wait forever to get your check. you're forced to flag down the server - a big pet peeve but doesn't stop me from dining there regularly.
The dining room is big with very high ceilings - which is much better than your typical kebab/pita place.
Don't forget to check out the store that shares the the same building. It's full of fantastic middle eastern fare. Plus, they bake all kinds of middle eastern breads right in the store so you can get delicious bread still warm from the oven.
Report This ReviewMy visit wasn't -bad- and I would consider going back... its just that you need to have simple expectations. The falafel plate comes with falafel and a scant smattering of iceburg lettuce. Its well prepared just not well presented. Great for a quick bite and cheap eats.
Report This ReviewAbsolutely loved it. Best Lebanese fare ever. This will definitely become my next hang-out. Yum!
