From the outside, this Lincoln Park restaurant doesn't look like it's helmed by a CHIC grad who studied Korean cooking in Seoul and clocked kitchen time in upscale eateries such as Vermilion--it's just a low-key storefront by a CTA bus stop. But owner Christian Oh makes up for appearances by offering above-average touches on his Korean-influenced pan-Asian quick-serve menu. To wit: Most carryout-focused Korean joints don't offer sauces like the house-made Raging Bul, a tangy red sauce with fresh chilies and chili paste, and Sweet Chilantro, Thai chili sauce laced with sugar and cilantro. The menu is compact: Select a protein such as fried tofu, marinated chicken or steak, add a sauce, and choose a side (or two, if you order the Big Brother meal). Sides include dumplings, edamame and cucumber salad. There are also spins on Korean favorites such as such as bi bim bop.
