Monster-sized Maki may be the trend du jour, but this Lincoln Park sushi spot offers a tapas twist. The menu separates rolls into small and standard size portions, with an eye toward sharing. A highlight: the spider roll, stuffed with soft shell crab, cucumber, avocado and scallions topped with spicy bonito flakes. The large nigiri list includes house specialties, including smoked duck and beni toro. Fish-phobic eaters can try hot and cold entrees as well as udon.
The lounge area of the restaurant sports a fireplace with sofa seating, the perfect spot to warm up with some late night sushi. For those seeking a more private dining experience, the back of the lounge is curtained off with seating for 12.
