Tampopo
5665 N. Lincoln Ave. - Chicago773-561-2277
This family run sushi restaurant has some of the best sushi in Chicago. The pieces are all very high quality and substantial portions. The rolls are creative and tasty. The dragon roll was delicious. Higly recommended. Other favorites in Chicago are Kaze and Tank.

'Tampopo', a Japanese movie about a widowed noodle chef...enjoyed the movie,
the restaurant, not so much. I've had better instant noodles that cost less than a buck.
This place was awesome! The quality of their food is a bit better than most Japanese restaurants but the sushi was fantastic. The value was unbeatable too. It's a small neighborhood place that sits about 50 but it's pretty spacious. I'm glad to have discovered it.
Report This ReviewWhat a great place! I would easily compare the food at Tampopo to the more trendy sushi joints. But the beauty is that you get the same great food for about half the price! Great specialty rolls and the staff is always super friendly.
Report This ReviewI think this place is a great find. The sushi is excellent, creative, and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is casual and never pretentious.
Report This ReviewGreat neighborhood restaurant. Very friendly, and casual. Sushi is wonderful, but be sure to try some of the appetizers, and main dishes.
Report This ReviewThis small and quaint family restaurant offers fantastic food at a great value. Alwasy fresh fish, friendly and prompt service, and free parking make this a guaranteed favorite!
Report This ReviewThis place is awesome. Daniel, the chef/owner, is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and will absolutely bend over backwards to serve you. My wife and I are hooked on this place. Outstanding, extremely fresh sushi, reasonably priced.
