This cute Northwest Side Japanese spot serves an extensive menu of sushi, appetizers and entrees in a nice but casual setting. Sushi lovers will be pleased with the selection, which includes nigiri, sashimi and maki. Favorites include the rainbow dragon maki, with tempura shrimp, cucumber, avocado, Japanese mayo, masago (fish roe), tuna, salmon, unagi (freshwater eel) and tobiko (flying fish roe). Basic rolls such as the California are reasonably priced, while specialty rolls tend to be a bit more pricey, though very generous in size. Anyone leery of raw fish will have plenty of options too, including donburi (rice simmered with fish, vegetables or meat, served in an oversized bowl) teriyaki, udon and soba (buckwheat) noodle dishes and bento combinations.
