I have been coming to Sushi Luxe pretty much every Sunday evening for at least two years, and I have had nothing but impeccable service and quality (which is why I keep coming!). The only time the service has been less than stellar has been when there have been an unusually high number of customers, and then only for a bit until the back up server arrived. The rice is always cooked to perfection--a great barometer of a good sushi place, and everything else has always been stellar. I have never had a bad meal here, good prices, good food, good service. I LOVE Sushi Luxe.

I hadnt been back here in a couple of years, because I remember the bad service. But I figured by now, they would have figured it out. We barely could get our servers attention most of the night. It was as if she purposely wouldnt look in our direction. But in all fairness to her, there was two of us and we werent the only ones in the restaurant there were 2 more people at another table. You would think after umpteen bad reviews about the service, the light might go on and they would decide to improve.

We wandered into Sushi Luxe early on a Saturday night. We craved sushi, were in Andersonville... Well, warm beer, filthy menus, a fatty tuna roll that made us gag, unattentive service...the list goes on. The best thing about the experience was the television in the bathroom mirror. I am sad to write this review because I had such high hopes and love to be in Andersonville. So, with all of the great sushi spots in this city, it is not necessary to ever go back to Sushi Luxe again.

I'm not sure if it's a language/cultural barrier but the service is pretty bad here. When ordering a "grey goose martini dry" they just look at you confused as if you've just spoken gibberish but instead of asking to clearify they just walk away and bring you what they think is close enough ( I think i got a dirty smirnoff with a twist). As far as the cultural aspect is concerned the waitress basically walks up to the table and says "ok you order now". I'm a waiter and I travel internationally it's not that hard to be polite even if you don't speak the language. The food is pretty good so I go back from time to time but just have a laugh at the service or else you'll blow your lid. Expect confusion from the servers but decent sushi.

I went for the first time last week, just because I moved to the neighborhood - no recommendations either way. This was possibly the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. We were one of only four tables, but the service was insanely slow. The food was okay, but not worth the wait and partronizing attitude of the waitress.

I had a great time here, good service and some great sushi. The spicy tuna had good flavor, not too salty and just spicy enough. The dragon roll was my favorite, great mix of tastes! I will be going back soon!

Report This ReviewOne word for Sushi Luxe is HORRIBLE. Have to agree with previous posts the service is absolutely terrible! 4 of us waited for 35 minutes for a drink, and the Grey Goose Martini was warm Grey Goose over 5 olives, our beer came 10 minutes the rest of the drinks, at least they were cold. There full bar is actually a soda cooler with liquor. Really cannot comment on the food because we did not have 3 hours to spend waiting. Granted, it was Friday night and packed, but the wait staff was not prepared. I would look at management to have another waitperson on staff or on call. Too many good Sushi Places nearby to risk going to this one.
Report This ReviewSERVICE IS TERRIBLE. My date had an allergy to shellfish and asked for veggie tempura instead of shrimp. They charged a an additional fee for this! I thought shrimp is more expenisve then veggies, am I wrong? Then a girl walking around with a water pitcher refilling water came to our table saw that we never got water. She just walked away. It was a struggle to get our server's attention so we could order more beer. The girl who waited on us forgot our appetizer and once reminded, she brought it to us when we finished eating our entrees. She never even said "sorry" or explained the delay. She mostly spent the evening standing in a corner chatting with another server and pretty much ignoring her tables. I had to go and track her down to get my check so I could leave this nightmare. Terrible and rude...that sums up the service at this sushi house. Don't eat here!
