We just moved out to the western burbs and agree the sushi is great, however it lacks ambiance. I would highly recomend the food and service! We will be back!

I had the worst time there with a large party in one of their tatami back rooms. Everyone else got their order before me...even though I ordered ONE roll and most everything else was sashimi. By the time I got my order...which I had to ask about three times to the point of rudeness...everyone else had finished eating. And when I didn't tip...because waiting 40 minutes for my food doesn't put me in the tipping mood...one of the waitresses had the gall to ask me if I'd "meant" to not leave a tip. I just had to say..."Um...yeah...I'm the one who got my order for SASHIMI more than a half hour late. What...your chef forget how to use a knife?" They probably lost or misplaced my order...and didn't want to admit it. What...were they hoping I'd stop being hungry by the time they found it? This year...I'm going back for my friend's birthday...but I'm eating somwhere else before I go. These people aren't getting my hard-earned sushi money again. Learn how to handle a group...or don't accept group reservations. Anything else is a combination of greed and stupidity.

We've been going here for a few years and it is consistently delicious. Very small and plain, but the food and service are excellent. The sushi is not to be missed. The soups are the best I've had. This place is a great value!

Yes, the sushi was very fresh and tasty, and they certainly have a good variety... but the cooked dishes were pretty uninspired. My husband's not a fan of sushi, so he ordered chicken teriyaki, and it was literally a piece of chicken that looked like it had been cooked in a microwave (white flesh with whitish beads of congealed juices around the edges - yeesh) and topped with a way-too-salty teriyaki sauce. I would have expected the meat to be, you know, GRILLED or at least basted with the sauce during cooking, but no. I don't know why they don't pay as much attention to the presentation of the cooked dishes as they do the sushi - my sushi platter was beautiful, and his chicken was kind of dumped onto a white plate with a little lettuce salad next to it. Huh. To top it off, it was freezing cold in the restaurant, and on a Friday night we were one of only three couples in the whole place. We'll stick with the LaGrange sushi house from now on.

Definitely the best sushi in the western suburbs. Everything tastes fresh, and the dishes are well prepared.
