This recently opened sushi bar and restaurant features a large dining room with a monochromatic light-blue interior. The menu features grilled fish, sashimi, tempura and maki rolls. On the grilled side, Matsu features a tuna steak with ponzu sauce and spicy radish ($8) and salmon with thick sesame sauce ($4). Cold dishes include the cubed tuna salad with miso vinaigrette ($7) and seaweed salad with vinegar dressing ($4). The maki is playful: The Godzilla ($12) is a monster roll of smoked salmon, eel, kani kama, cucumber, kumpyo, oshiniko, masago, cream cheese and wasabi mayo made with a tempura crunch. Perk: For now, it's is BYOB. Late-night weekend hours should be a hit with Lakeview clubbers.
