I just moved to the neighborhood and feared there would be no decent sushi. But I stumbled upon Kohan and now crave their Rainbow rolls, Chicago crazy rolls, and pretty much everything else they make. Their prices are reasonable, the menu is extensive and it's by far the best sushi I've had in the city.

This is one of the most reasonable sushi restaurants in Chicago...The quality of the food matches the warm welcome you get everytime you eat there. The San Diego roll is the best! Most restaurants charge for green tea...

When we first started eating here it was awesome. Recently the quality of the sushi has gone down.

Good and fresh sushi and they deliver in the pilsen area which is great because parking is almost impossible to find in University Village.

Kohan is absolutely delicious. As a relatively picky eater, their shrimp tempura rolls and Chef's special sushi are one of a kind. They have a great variety that will please the traditional and the adventurous taste buds. Prices are reasonable compared to other sushi places downtown and the owner is extremely polite, friendly, and caring, a reflection of the service at the restaurant.

We just went there for lunch, and the prices for the lunch menu seems to be too high for the typical Japanese food that is served (Bento box, noodles, tempura). Expect to spend about $12-$15 per person, and yes...I am talking about a simple Bento box lunch. Here is something that really bothered me when I got the bill. They charged us $1.50 per person for green tea, which I have never been charged in any other Japanese Restaurant I have been to in Chicago, and I have been to MANY. Will I go there again? Probably not....Why? The food is average, there was a clump of flour found in my tempura brocolli, the price is high, and they charge for green tea even though it is served like tape water in every other Japanese restaurant.
