Happi Sushi was one of the first Japanese restaurants to open in Chicago before the mainstream dining public got hip to the joys of sushi in the 1980s. Happi Sushi is still highly regarded for its tempura and Chilean bass served with a special house sauce. Customers can invent their own sushi rolls, which the chef will make for them.
