This Evanston sushi lounge targets a young, hip crowd with a first-floor dining room and second-floor lounge. Head upstairs from the dining room to the low-lit lounge, perch on pillow-strewn leather couches and enjoy an Asian-themed martini such as the Blu signature martini with fresh Japanese fruit juices. The menu contains plenty of items that would be hard to find elsewhere, including blue snapper (flown in from Japan), apples and cucumber wrapped in fluke and sauteed scallops served bruschetta-style. Don't pass up the desserts, especially the fried bananas covered with a coating that tastes eerily like Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
