Bistro Wasabi Sushi Bar
4590 W Algonquin Road - Lake in the Hills847-515-2700
Since moving out to Crystal Lake, been looking for a good Sushi place for the last 3 months. This is good, not great....can think of 5 places in the city off the top of my head better (Tsukasa in Vernon Hills blows it away) - go if someone suggests, but don't go out of your way.Good bartender - but unattentive waitstaff. Only 5 star item on the menu is the asparagus roll - I'll be back for that - but as a take out starter for another meal.

The Bistro Wasabi Sushi Bars are the best in the burbs. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The drinks are amazing, and the prices are great! The Philly rolls here are the best I've ever had, and the Sapporo rolls are amazing. Try the cholate-tini too! Amazing. The place looks great too! Always clean, and the staff is always super nice!

i acknowledge that i am a sushi snob. i love my sushi and all other types of seafood... and i know my fish, i know what is good and what is just mediocre (and what is completely gross, like most sushi places-especially buffets- in chicago). bistro wasabi is good quality fish, great tasting, and artfully prepared. the chefs there are creative, and you will taste some of the most amazing fusion dishes! it's a hike for those who live in the city, but you will say that you've tasted the best sushi in chicagoland once you've been there. and you most likely will think other sushi places are a waste of money after tasting theirs!!!
