Without a doubt the best place for a beef in Chicago. Don't believe the hype of the other places that celebrities in LA think is a good Italian beef, this is the real deal. Good size sandwich, perfect bun and don't forget the hot peppers!

This is my favorite beef place in Chicago and the price is good and the sandwich the right size. I know for a fact they make it homemade right there. They buy 16 lb. Sirloin Butt roasts from Scala and wet roast it to 140 degrees right on the premises, then they slice it later, etc. He said they cook over 100 lbs. easily per day. Mr. Beef sandwiches are too small, Tore's is not. Al's is rip-off $$, Tore's is priced right. Try it at the Elston/Diversey/Western 6- way. The best in Chicago, done the right way, and doesn't rely on tourists and jack up the price for what is still just a beef sandwich.
