Tuscany: User Reviews
the first thing i noticed about tuscany was the super spacious parking lot, which was valet only. It was also conveniently located next to the restaurant and contrary to metromix, it was 6$ to park. We did get a great table, right next to the window it was all too pleasant except that they proceeded to cut off the excess paper table cloth with a knife in front us, which in combination with the "Temptations" serenade sort of took way from the Italy-like experience I was looking for.
However there was some delicious "italian peanut butter" that our waiter created for us (his words not mine). it was a roasted garlic with oil and parmesan, it tasted awesome. Then came the food, that was quite tasty, a little over priced though. I can't complain too much though I really did enjoy it, just not enough to recommend it highly as an italian dining experience.

I went with 2 friends. It took them at least 20 minutes to ask if we wanted beverages drinks, they took our order for appetizers, then did not come back to take our entree orders until we were done with drinks and appetizers. Maybe it was because it was a weekend night? Then they brought the wrong dish. I found the food to be bland. There is much, much better Italian to be ad for the price in Chicago.

The food is good, consistent, with attentive preparation and presentation. The service is slow and not as good as one would expect considering the prices and the restaurant's reputation. The tables are so very close together that we are always uncomfortable conversing in this restaurant. Often you can hear the conversations at other tables just as if the people were seated with you. We don't like that when we go to a place with these prices.

I absolutely love Tuscany. Everything from the olive oil/roasted garlic and bread at the beginning of the meal, to the entree, to the service, is fabulous. I especially recommend the pear ravioli- it is the most wonderful pasta ever!

I went to Tuscany last night with some of my girl friends and I had a good time. I was very happy because we were seated at a round table so everyone was able to interact with each other. I ordered the Capellini D' Angelo Al and it was a very large portion! It was pretty good too. I enjoyed the food and the price was just right. The only downside was that it was kind of loud in the restaurant - we had to shout and it was hard to hear each other. Overall, a good experience.

WOW...we were very impressed with the quality of food. I ordered the special, the Filetto al Formaggio at $28.95. It was three grilled filet mignon medallions topped separately w/smoked mozz., gorgonzola, and fontina cheese. The beef quality was superb, and presented a perfect medium, with a Portabello mushroom sauce. Also came with a pesto risotto. My wife had the Farfalle con Capesante, $19.95, which was bow tie pasta with scallops, sea bass, mahi mahi, and Tilapia, oven dried tomatoes, carmelized onions, and arugala, in a thyme garlic oil...Wow...what an explosion of flavor.
The service was really good, and we found the waiter very helpful with choosing a dish, and concerned that we were happy with our meal. We can't wait to return. Not a romanitic restaurant, and the din is very loud. It was more exciting than subdued. Go there and have fun!

Great place to try a new, refreshing spin on Italian cuisine. The menu was extensive and the martinis great!!! Use the valet parking!!! Well worth the $6.00. The restaurant is "child friendly" so be prepared for lots of chatter. I would like to see an ADULTS ONLY reservation slot so I could at least, carry on a dinner conversation without yelling across the table. Other than the loud atmosphere, the service was fabulous and not pretentious. I would definitely dine there again. Loved it!!!
