My wife and I have been to Tribella's maybe a dozen times over the past few years, and we've never had a bad experience. Unlike many other restaurants, they actually understand what a reservation means, seating us immediately when we arrive on time. The food might not be the most inventive, but it's always tasty and cooked properly. The fish is cooked perfectly, the filet melts in your mouth, and the pasta and seasonal specialties always hit the mark. The wine list is very fairly priced, with several good selections in the $30 and under range. Never pretentious, this is the place we go when we just want good food in a comfortable environment.

The decor was very inviting and unique dark yet not too dark. We left a message for a reservation and received a return phone call by a pleasant sounding person. When we called back the woman was very helpful including providing specific directions. We were seated promptly and the wait staff was pleasant with very little waiting for anything. Water was constantly refilled. The mushroom stuffed tortellini was delicious as was the grouper. Preparations were unique and yet inviting. Parking was ample and convenient. There were so many wonderful choices, we will definitely go back soon. The wine choices were also very good and prices within reach. So much, we ordered two bottles!
Report This ReviewExcellent! Our food was superb, and our family loves the atmosphere. Whenever we have guests in town, we make sure to make it to Tribella for dinner.
Report This ReviewMy wife, our friend and I just left Tribella for perhaps the 10th, but last time this evening. Another poor experience with service is pushing us away from an otherwise great restaurant. We have always loved the food and atmosphere, but after cold food, missed orders, a poor wait staff (Dominik) and a very rude manager (Lauren)we will be taking our business elsewhere. I am sure that our missed visits will not run them out of business, but if we can keep another couple from ruining a special occassion, then this review has served its purpose.
Report This ReviewTribella is one of our favorite restraunants in the Batavia/Geneva area.
The chef does an excellent job of introducing new variation on some relatively familiar subjects most with a general Italian flavor. The menu evolves as the seasons progress. As of late, some of the lower priced items have been disappearing but it still provides a reasonably good value especially their brick-oven style pizza's. And you can't go wrong with their steaks.
The service is always friendly although it can be slow on a Friday or Saturday night. On the other hand, they have a variety of good martini's, imported and domestic wines and beers so there are ways to keep one's self entertained as long as you weren't hoping to wrap up dinner too quickly.
The Ceasar salad has too much garlic for my tastes but that's probably a good thing for some folks. Generally, the soups are fantastic. Lastly, I've had the muscles on a number of occassions and have never found a place that makes them better (except once when they were overcooked).
Overall, I would recommend Tribella as one of the best restraurants in the area (and our kids love their menu too).
Report This ReviewThis is a great find. The inside feels like a restaurant in Lincoln Park. The food is great and the service is attentive but not pushy. My husband and I have been there twice and plan to return soon. I had the spicy arribiatta and he had lamb chops, both were excellent. Delicious bread, too.
