With its focused menu, solid service, and good pricing, the Pasta Bowl is one of those reliable restaurants in the neighborhood. Several of the main courses are outstanding, like the Farfalle Pollo and Rigatoni. The Caesar Salad rivals those found at a number of restaurants and is truly a treat; the soups, which change daily, are incredibly tasty. AJ, Keith, and other members of the staff make the experience enjoyable. The specials are worth trying -- some of them are truly inspired. What a nice place to have in Lincoln Park -- every neighborhood should have a place like this.

I had the Farfalle Pollo, which would have been much better without the pollo. The chicken was not fresh, instead there were little strips of over-cooked chicken (probably reheated from being frozen) and it was like chewing leather.

I usually enjoy Pasta Bowl. I hadn't had it for awhile, so I decided to eat from there. I ordered the Spaghetti al Polpette and the Caprese salad. The food was very disappointing. The pasta was bland and the Caprese salad wasn't good either.

How do you screw up a Caprese salad?

Not much else to say about this place, the food is average the service is good but overall you really are getting what you pay for. The place is inexpensive for a reason. The food is not bad but don't expect anything great.

Simply put, not great service, just average. The restaurant is always loud, and crowded. You either sit at the counter and suffer heat stroke, or at a cramped little table (too small for the plates the food is on). I will continue to go back on a weekly basis, why you ask? Like i said simply put UNREAL!!! The pasta is fantastic. The bruschetta(is that spelled right?) the Gnocchi, everything we have ever had is to die for! The price is right and the portions will fill you up without finishing. The salads are even fab. Check this chicago secret treasure out a.s.a.p. YOU WILL LOVE IT, or you just don't love good food!

Four eight years or so we have been a loyal customer to pasta bowl eating in, carry out and delivery.

Today we were told that even though we were in the system and a regular customer the fact that our address was 3430 and not 3400 we could not get delivery.

It is funny that a store in a depressed economy is able to refuse customers?

Even after speaking with two of the managers and offering to walk to the corner they would not delivery to us.

As we have a new baby it makes it harder to just jump in the car and pick up something.

The food is good but I cannot recommend the collage kid mentality of the managers who actually hung up on me without me being upset or rude?

We will make it a point to patron other Italian restaurants in the City where we are desired as a customer.

Pasta Bowl is by far my favorite "go to" restaurant. It's cheap, fast, and delicious. The food is absolutely amazing for the price. Everytime I have an out of town guest visiting, I take them there and they always want to return again and again. Make sure to check out the specials because they are always very creative and very tasty. If you want a quick, casual Italian meal, this is the place to go!

We tried this place on a Friday for lunch and were VERY impressed! The pasta rivaled any pricey, classy restaurant and it was a fantastic bargain. Our waiter was great and helpful too. We would DEFINITELY go back!

I think from all the reviews we can all agree the food is good, but the service is very poor. HIRE NEW WAIT STAFF!!!
