The Noodle is a bright and cozy place offering fresh pasta and seafood in downtown Wilmette. It's a sister to The Noodle in Glenview, but smaller and more casual. Enter beneath the red-and-white striped awning and peruse the chalkboard specials or watch fresh pasta being cut to order while waiting to be seated. If pasta's your entree: pick a flavor (white, spinach or garlic parsley), cut (angel hair, linguine or fettucine) and sauce (11 choices). The fresh (uncooked) pasta is available to take home including -- attention home chefs! -- whole sheets measuring 1½ square feet. They also have chicken and vegetarian entrees. Homemade desserts include chocolate cake, creme caramel and key lime pie.

A cozy neighborhood restaurant, nicely decorated. The tomato basil soup and spicy Italian sausage entree were excellent.
