I would advise that you check your order before leaving, phoned in orders tend to be incorrect. Service is pretty bad as well. Beef's have no taste or spices to the meat. Prices are inexpensive - guess you get what you pay for. Not a place that we will go back to.

I have eaten Art of Pizza 3 separate times now, and each pizza has gotten progressively worse. At least half the pizza is dough, so it might as well be pizza bread; and half of the dough remains uncooked, which gives the pizza a spackly/tooth paste/Elmers-paste texture to it. The sausage they use is mediocre, at best, and if you use their delivery service, the bottom of the pizza will be soggier then Lou Malnati's upon arrival. For the price, you might as well take your money and buy yourself a decent dinner.

Is it the best pizza in the city? Can't say cause I haven't tried them all, and any day things can change at any pizzeria. But in my opinion, Art's stuffed spinach and mushroom consistently ranks right up there. Definitely worth a try, and probably their best offering.
Don't expect a fancy dining experience, either, if you plan on eating in. Although they have expanded from just being a take-out/delivery joint, this is not a fine dining restaurant. It's a pizza joint with some tables and no booze. Soda yes, booze no.
My advice: if you're in the area, stop by and order a slice or two and check it out. Slices are $2.75, so you aren't out much if you don't like it. Just be sure to check out the stuffed spinach and shroom. Good stuff.

Great Pizza, No Frills. Stop expecting to be treated like royalty at a modest pizza joint!

Solid food at decent prices. The sauce is better than most, but the crust could use more crisp and less spongey.

I've never had a good encounter with the people who work at the Art of Pizza. When I call for delivery, they always seem like i'm a burden and try to get me off the phone as soon as possible. I'd understand if it was only when i call during rush periods, but 3:30 on a tuesday doesn't seem like it would be a busy time.
If you can get past the customer service, the pan pizza is solid, but nothing to write home about. The taste is there, but for some reason only with Art of Pizza pizza, I get full, but not satiated. It's a weird feeling of not being able to eat more, but i'm still hungry. It's not a hunger for their pizza because it's wonderful or anything, just hungry but full.
Their dinner and lunch specials are great though because they are inexpensive and good proportions.

Art of Pizza is fantastic! Don't judge a book by it's cover as this restaurant is set up in a sketchy-looking building. The pan pizza is to die for! And you get a free liter of pop with every pizza purchase. Oh, and if you aren't eating with a group, you can order pizza by the slice, too. Definitely 5 stars worthy!

I don't know what the deal is with these bad reviews. This is without doubt: The Best Pizza in Chicago. Hands down. You've gotta get the stuffed though, don't be ridiculous.
