The food was good. Portions were large but not family style. All dishes were too salty. There is no waiting area when you arrive and tables near the door are unacceptable. Upstairs is a far better option. My main complaint was the extreme slowness of the meal. Our group of four ordered three appetizers. We finished the first and nearly forgot we ordered two more. They didn't arrive for 30 minutes. Another half hour after finishing the appetizers the waitress told us "your entrees will be out any minute." It was at least another fifteen minutes before we did receive the main course. We asked her if this was typical or if the chef called in sick. She said "no, this is the way we operate." From beginning to end the meal took three hours. If you have all night to sit and wait, this is the place for you. If you don't, I would avoid this place at all cost.

RoSal's is a darling storefront restaurant and the service was friendly and excellent. The food was just OK. There were four of us and none of us throught their entree was that great.

Exquisite Italian Cuisine One of the finest Italian restaurants I have had the pleasure of dining. The veal RoSal is one of the best veal dishes I have had. I have also added the Shrimp Anival. I have eaten all over the world and quite extensively throughout the Chicagoland area, and one would be hard pressed to find a restaurant with service and recipes to top RoSal's! Old time family run business with top notch homemade food and service not found elsewhere. The wait staff is fantastic! I have never felt so attended to by each and every member of the wait staff, extremely eager to please and pleasant to speak with! This is not like the other restaurants in Chicagoland area, the owner and his family are actually hosting and checking in on tables every night. And if they are eating, offer to share their meals with any willing patrons to try something different. Welcome to their family!
