RoSal's: User Reviews
A co-worker suggested RoSal's and we went there with friends for my birthday. It was totally worth it. It was just a little noisy, but in a good way: makes you feel at home/with friends and not loud enough to disrupt a conversation. The food was outstanding, grilled calamari are some of the best I've tried and the ravioli are simply the best. The service was wonderful: Linda is a very nice and friendly person who knows her stuff really well. Finally, the coffee and the desserts... M-m-m... I want to go back there NOW :).

This is by far the best Italian joint in the city. I wanted a variation of what I saw on the menu and they had no problem making it. My date requested something not even on the menu. The chef came out, discussed it with her and blew her away with the flavor. This is going to be a regular weekly thing for us, we can't get enough.

Our meal was wonderful, perfectly seasoned, huge portions, and a great value. The service was somewhat inattentive. We were seated and left to wait too long before a waiter showed, and after he delivered an appetizer we suddenly had a different server. Long wait for entrees, and no attention whatsoever after meals were delivered. Maybe having a party of 50 patrons upstairs lended itself to a drop in service. If not, still recommend going to RoSals for the food alone!

I WENT THERE ON A SATURDAY, IT WAS PACKED...MY DATE AND I GOT TO SIT DOWNSTAIRS (I THINK THEY USUALLY ARE RESERVED) AND IT WAS AWESOME. TOTALLY WHAT I THINK OF WHEN I THINK OF "LITTLE ITALY". OH, THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS AMAZING! TRY THE FRIED RAVIOLIS!
Report This ReviewBY FAR THE BEST ITAILIN FOOD I HAVE ECER HAD...BLOWS NEW YORKS LITTLE ITALY AWAY IN SO MANY WAYS
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR TWIST ON FRIED RAVIOLI AND THE CALAMARI IS HEAVEN NO ONE ELSE MAKES IT THIS WAY
Report This ReviewI would not recommend this restaurant. The hostess, who's name I will hold back, argued with the rest of the wait staff about where we should be seated. If that's the way you welcome your customer's, I dare not eat the food!!
Report This ReviewService was attentive, very professional and knowledgeable. We had a conversation with the wait staff that would resemble family conversation sitting around the table at home. The pace was perfect allowing the party to enjoy each other as well as the wonderful entrees. I think we had "one of everything" and we found all to be delightful. We will certainly return in the near future.
Report This ReviewThe food and ambiance are great for a homey little hole-in-the-wall italian joint in Little Italy. The servers are friendly and well-informed. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to eat, as the kitchen is miniscule and on busy nights takes about an hour to crank out the main courses. They make their own pastas, something you're hard-pressed to find around here, these days. The wine list is skimpy, but is amazingly reasonably priced and has some great finds. The menu holds a plethora of options: I liked the eggplant rolls and fried ravioli appetizers. The eggplant entree was perfectly done, and my wife enjoyed her portabello pasta immensely. Stick to the tiramisu, white chocolate mousse or the cannoli for dessert - outstanding!
