- Price range: $$ ($9-$15)
This Lincoln Park Italian spot is about three things: location, location, location. Located just steps from the park itself, Rocco's boasts a huge, inviting outdoor patio where you can kick back with a glass of wine and an affordable meal. (Appropriately, co-owners John Figlioli and Tom Gorsuch, who are also behind Bucktown Pub and Estelle's, named the spot with an Italian term of Germanic origin meaning "relax.") Indoors, flat-screen TVs broadcast sports throughout the dining room, which is divided by quirky nooks and crannies. The menu includes traditional Italian fare such as Italian-style sausage with peppers, chicken parmigiana, lasagna and other pasta dishes, as well as thin-crust and double-dough pizzas. Many of the recipes were passed down through Figlioli's family.
