This ornate 200-seat eatery in Pilsen’s historic Thalia Hall serves a menu of antipasti, salads, handmade pastas, about 20 wood-oven prepped thin-crust pizzas and other Italian classics. Specialties include include zuppa de mare (seafood soup), house-made lasagna with ragu Bolognese and bechamel sauce, and veal scaloppine. The folks behind Wicker Park's Caffe Gelato own the place, so you'll find impressive touches such as house-roasted coffee beans and house-made gelati in more than 20 flavors. The theater-inspired dining room is filled with design nods to the building's namesake (Thalia's the Greek muse of comedy and pastoral poetry) and the World's Columbian Exposition, which took place the year after Thalia Hall originally debuted.
