This modern, fairly affordable trattoria has proved immensely popular with Lincoln Parkers, who crowd its tiny foyer on weekend nights, eager to try one of chef Riccardo Michi's (ex-Bice) seasonally appropriate, Tuscan-inspired dishes. The menu offers plenty of antipasti to start things off: Don't miss the tuna carpaccio, punctuated with sliced fennel and orange wedges and drizzled with a zippy lemon dressing. You'll also find housemade, not-your-everyday pastas like the trofiie with pine nuts and basil-pesto sauce. There's a sizable list of meat dishes ranging from tripe to pheasant breast to more familiar preparations of veal and pork. Everyday an assortment of daily specials are offered including half portions of pasta dishes. The room goes for contemporary casual, and is perhaps a bit too bright and too noisy to be truly a romantic destination, but we think foodies may find they fall in love just the same.
