Italian spot from Osteria via Stato's Rick Tramonto and Gale Gand, one of four Tramonto/Gand eateries in the Westin Chicago North Shore hotel. Look for exposed brick work, red velvet draperies, brown leather chairs and wooden tables.
An open kitchen with a wood-burning oven dishes up three meals a day. American breakfasts as well as old-world specialties feature in the morning, while at lunchtime, soups, salads, panini and hamburgers are on offer along with a salumi and cheese board, pizzas, pastas and classic Italian dishes. At dinner, antipasti include crudos (raw Italian-style fish), bruschetta and crostini, to be followed by traditional Italian entrees. House-made desserts and a 700-bottle all-Italian wine list also feature, plus Italian cocktails like Bellinis and Mojo Italianos, made with 10 Cane rum, fresh lime, mint leaves, sliced strawberries and kiwi ice cubes.
