This Wicker Park BYOB serves traditional Italian favorites. Appetizers include baked clams and calamari, served grilled or fried. Salads lean toward classics such as caesar and caprese, but also offer some interesting alternatives, including the insalata riccia (watercress with walnuts, raisins and blue cheese in a sweet balsamic vinaigrette). More than a dozen pasta dishes are available, including the house specialty gnocchi alla Romana with tomato sauce, fresh basil and parmesan. Entrees include picatta di vitello al limone (medallions of veal sauteed with lemon, capers and pine nuts), pollo alla contadina (sauteed chicken breast with cherry tomatoes, black olives, thyme, basil, garlic and onions), and gamberi gratinati (breaded shrimp in a white wine, garlic and butter sauce). For dessert there's tiramisu, cannoli, sorbets and gelati. Lucia's Deli, a casual carryout concept with an entrance off North Avenue, shares a kitchen with the restaurant.
