- Price range: $$ ($9-$15)
Chicago has a rich, longstanding love affair with pizza, and loyal fans have lined up for decades to enjoy Lou Malnati's deep-dish pies. From the time the first location opened in Lincolnwood in 1971, the family-owned and-operated business (now managed by sons Rick and Marc) has had the same goal: to provide a casual atmosphere with good food the whole family can enjoy.
Now with over 30 city and suburban locations, Lou Malnati's serves up both deep-dish and thin-crust pizza with the requisite toppings as well as a lselection of soups, salads, pastas and sandwiches. Signature stuffed spinach bread and cheese cubes are must-try appetizers, and both the chicken Parmesan sandwich and antipasto salad serve as yummy pizza alternatives.

My Chicago Weekend
We were in the Chicago area to visit some friends over the weekend. These are a few of the places that helped fill our time (and our stomachs).
