The décor at this upscale Tuscan bistro was designed by local artist Boban -- you may have seen his dramatic staircases at Red Line or Grotto on State. The double storefront features exposed brick walls, custom Boban sculpture and paintings, a sleek brushed steel bar and cherry wood floors. No mainstream spaghetti here -- the menu offers upscale entrees like raviolo di caccia, house-made ravioli stuffed with veal osso bucco and goat cheese in a fresh sage demi-glace, pappardelle alla fungi, house-made pasta ribbons with smoked chicken, shaved portabello mushrooms and oven-dried tomatoes in a parmesan chicken Bercy (white wine reduction), and pesce aqua pazza, poached sea bass with zucchini and squash ribbons, drizzled with basil-infused olive oil and Mediterranean olive tapenade. Even though the bistro has white tablecloths and top-notch table settings, everything on the menu is under $20.
