Il Mulino Bakery
5.0
If you weren't craving a cappuccino when you came in to Il Mulino Bakery, you will after catching a whiff of the fresh-ground Sicilian cinnamon. This authentic Sicilian bakery has two small tables perfect for enjoying a cup with a slice of 1000-layers cake, filled with fresh strawberries, custard and a flaky crust dusted with powdered sugar. All the bread is hand rolled and the filled-to-order, cannoli are the best we've ever tasted. For more substantial fare, there's always a selection of focaccia, rice balls and potato croquettes, and on the weekends, owner Maria Rosa Sparacino cooks up whatever catches her eye at the morning's market.
