I had an amazing time

I had never been to this place before and was dragged there by some friends and i'm really glad they did. The food was amazing, the service was really friendly and the place had that historical feel that made it feel like more than just a restaurant. Mt dad is a hardcore baseball fan and i'm going to have to bring him here when he's in town, he'll love it.

horrible service

I took my son there after dropping of my husband for a trans-Atlantic site. Food was good, but everything else was not. Our server, although polite when he did come around, practically ignored us. I had to ask for our beverages four times over the course of about 30 minutes. No comp, nothing. On the way out, I told who I assume was the manager about our poor service, he gave an extremely week, "sorry."

Many other places to go beside this!

Not so great

The steak was great, but the service was not. We felt that our waiter was more interested in the other guests who were ordering lots to drink than in us. Don't think we'll visit this restaurant next time in Chicago.

Not So Good Anymore
By Jenny Dean from Morgan Park (Beverly Area), March 3, 2008

Visited recently for the 5th time and was disspointed for the first time. There's now a way-too-lengthly raw steaks and lobster presentation & explanation. Then we were told no fewer than 3 times "everthing is a la carte, meaning if you want a salad or potato you need to order it separately....". We know what a la carte means, and no, we don't want a potato, but that a la carte business seems new since last visit. Way too much upselling, or what seemed like upselling and pushiness. The place was emptier than I've seen it, and a bit dingey.

Supassed my expectations -from the selection, food, and service. The steaks, lamb chops perfectly grilled as requested. My pasta with vodka cream sauce was the best I ever had... but we all agreed that my son's ribeye was so fabulous that we all would want it on our next visit.

I knew there was a Harry Caray's in the city but my wife and I do not like to make the long drive downtown for dinner. We decided to try the Harry's in Rosemont and it was fantastic! I think I had the best steak I have ever had in my life. My wife got the chicken vesuvio and they do it better than anyone. They have a surprisingly great wine selection and the service was outstanding. I recommend Harry's to anyone who can appreciate good food and service!
