My wife and I were there yesterday. The service was good and the wait staff knowledgable. The crawfish bisque was creamy and rich. I loved the blue cheese dressing on my salad. Chunks of the blue cheese. The steak melted in your mouth. The veal marsala was outstanding. The atmosphere was comfortable causal. I can't say enough good things about the place. Go there. Now!

On arrival we were seated in a side room with only 4 tables. Waitress brought a basket of only 2 rolls. She took our wine and dinner order. Wine was brought right away and that was the last we saw of her until four were seated next to us. Her attention was then on them. She never asked if there was anything else, more rolls, etec. Then table of six came into the other room and that was the last. It took her 10 minutes to show them wine, etc. and we still were not asked if there was anything else we wanted. Finally I waved and got her attention. The filet I get at Outback Steakhouse just as good at 12 the price. My companion had the ham, sweet potatoes and brussell sprouts. Brussell sprouts were hard & undercooked as were the sweet potatoes. I mentioned this to the waitress and she wanted him to take the sprouts off his plate so she could get him more. The meal would have been cold by then yet I had to ask her for an adjustment to the bill. For a high end resturant, this was extremely disappointing.

Sat at the bar and ordered an appetizer and a sandwich. It took 40 minutes to get the crabcake, My sandwich finally came after another 20 minutes. They need to pay more attention to their midday patrons, not just the lunch and dinner rush. The food was good but not worth the wait,

I went to Harry Caray's in Lombard in September 2007. We started with the calamari which was not at all rubbery, but cooked just right. 2 of us had the veal parm which was extremely delicious. Someone else had the shrimp fettucine which was also great. The only slight negative was that it was noisy, and our waiter seemed to spend a long time chatting up other customers instead of delivering our food promptly.

We had a great experience dining at the new Harry Caray's. There was about 10 of us that dined, and the waiter was extremely attentive and right on with our orders...a hard task when that many people dine!
The food was delicious and even better was the wide-ranging wine list. I had a fantastic glass of Hahn Cabernet. Since Harry Caray's is known for their steaks, 6 of us ordered them and were drooling from the first bite!
After browsing the photos on the wall, we stopped in the bar. There was a decent crowd and it looked like a fun place to hang out. Overall, Harry Caray's was a hit- I would definitely suggest!

Five of us went to lunch on Wednesday last week. I arrived about 5 minutes after my friends. After standing at the front desk for 2 minutes without being acknowledged, I informed the hostess the party I was meeting and asked to be shown to their table. I was AMAZED when she didn't realize how important I was! As if I'm going to wander around a restaurant I've never been in before to look for my friends. I mean, get real! I ended up calling them and asking them to rescue me from the front door as I cannot find my own backside with both hands. As for the service, it was slow and every time we asked a question about an item on the menu, our server had to excuse herself to ask someone else rather than just make something up, (as if I would know any different). I know I won't be back and neither will anyone that I dined with that day, as where in the hell is Lombard anyway!
