What a find!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gaetano's in Forest Park with several friends. It was absolutely fantastic. We all agreed that it was one of the best meals we've had in a while. The ambiance was warm and relaxed, the food was superb, wine list was very good. My escolar was mouthwatering. It's not exactly cheap - but well worth the price. How many times do you go out to dinner, pay a fair amount of money and come away feeling dissatisfied? Quite often, right? So isn't it way better to pay the price but have a thoroughly enjoyable evening with excellent food in a great atmosphere? I can't wait to go back.

Really enjoyed Gaetano's. I remember having some incredible dishes at La Piazza, as well. The chef executes his menu with great care and imagination. I do plan on returning to this place, which by the way has a very endearing and pleasant ambiance.

Amazing food

Anyone who cares about imaginative, delicious dishes should come here. We had the chef's choice and were served one marvelous selection after the next. Try not to miss the tender short ribs with garlic potato, the sturgeon stuffed with duck confit over eggplant puree. Be sure and have the flower shaped beet slices, their tortelli and ravioli with terrific fillings like lobster and brie. If you want something smaller, their pizza is the best. And do not miss the sherberts they make there. We had a pineapple sherbert that couldn't be fresher and a rhubarb with real rhubarb taste, but just delicately sweet, not sour. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. Gaetano comes out from the kitchen to meet patrons when he can. This is a restaurant not to be missed!

Gaetano is an amazing chef, I would highly reccomend his place to anyone. La Piazza was wonderful and this is even better. I'm vegan...and I can personally attest to the fact that his vegan degustation is out of this world!!

Chef Gaetano still can cook!

I was sad to see La Piazza shut down, but Gaetano's new place doesn't disappoint. The food is as good as it always was and the addition of the wood burning stove is key. The place gets a little loud when it is busy, but it is tough to complain when most of the noise was people commenting on the excellent food. Call for a reservation, because this place is destined to be packed. Great job Chef!
