This small, family-run business prides itself on providing individual attention, and owner Jeanine Ruffolo says that having only 14 tables means that she can keep an eye on all of them at any given time. The decor is on the upscale side--hardwood floors, tables with white tablecloths and contemporary fixtures--and the service is friendly and unpretentious. During the week the crowd consists primarily of neighborhood regulars, but weekends draw patrons from all over the city. The lunch menu features salads, sandwiches and pasta dishes. For dinner, order from a number of pasta, poultry, seafood and meat dishes. Our favorite? The roasted pork chop with rosemary potatoes. We also enjoyed the homemade gnocchi with plum tomato sauce topped with ricotta cheese. Wines from California and Italy dominate the modest wine list.
