I've been to Fiorentino's a few times now, and have yet to have a bad experience. I had the osso bucco on my first trip, which was mediocre. I had the lasagna on a later trip, which was fantastic. My wife had pasta on both visits, which was fantastic. We're not drinkers, so I can't comment on the wine. The server on our first visit was first-rate, but the server on our second visit was a bit slow and inattentive. Whatever you do, you MUST save room for the triple chocolate mousse cake. It sounds rich, but it's actually light and satisfying!!! We'll be back for more

My roommates and I went out for a celebration dinner and we were very pleased with our restaurant choice. From the beginning when the reservation was made they accommodated our table request happily. There was easy street parking on Ashland. The service was great. Very knowledgeable wait staff and all the dishes are made to order so you can totally make your own dish. The stuffed gnocchi was fabulous! I don't go back to a lot of restaurants because they city has so many but I would definitely make this a staple in my Italian repertoire. Also would be a good date place.

How can you complain about a restaurant that always provides good service, handles their menu well and where the owners make sure it happens the right way. Its not an adventurous menu, but its a classic menu that they execute flawlessly each time. The servers are always attentive and do not rush you. Its like eating a holiday meal at home because of the warmth they provide.

I thought this place was great. Friendly service, tasty food, and not too pricey. The desserts were amazing, too. I will definitely be back.

In late December, I decided to have dinner with 8 of my close girlfriends at Fiorentino's Cucina. It was the perfect venue for the occassion. [But make sure that you pay attention closely when driving on Ashland because you are bound to miss it if you are driving to quickly.] From the moment you walk in the front doors you feel like you are in your own family room. The staff is very warm and inviting and the owner is always there to greet each customer. The ambiance is what captured my eye the most. The decor sets the mood for the evening. Carefully mounted old photographs of the family and their ancestors on the walls, the warm colors, the lights (the seasonal Christmas tree). It is a very pleasant place for a traditonal italian meal.
We started off with drinks, and we all recommend the Bellini Martini. Our appetizers included, the Calamari, Clams and Bruschetta. All three where delicious but our favorite was the Calamari - it was a perfect blend of breading, squid and sauce.
Our entrees included, the gnocci (in the red sauce) which was wonderful, fettucinni alfredo and Tortellini all Panna which were both exquisite, the chicken vesuvio (not a bite left on the plate), and last but not least the Lasagna which everyone must try!!!
After all the food we all felt we could be rolled out on barrels but we still ordered the cannoli to top off the evening! And you must leave room for the cannoli!!!
It was great company, incredible traditional italian food, wonderful and friendly service and a place we will be visiting again. We truly enjoy this experience all around.

My girlfriend and I went to Fiorentino's with another couple Monday night around 6:30 and the place was already full! Our server told us mondays are half price bottles of wine so we started out with a great bottle of Pinot Nero. For appitizers we had the fried calamari, best I've ever had, and a Crabcake that was on special...it was amazing...all crabmeat!!! I had the Rigatoni Bosciaola which was unbelievable, sausage in the pasta was awesome! My girlfriend had a Capellini with mussels in a pesto sauce which she loved, and I agreed when I stole a bite. Both our friends said their dishes were great too. The service was excellent all around and very attentive throughout the whole meal, and the owner even came up numorous times to check on us and all the other tables. The dessert tray looked amazing but we had to pass in order to make a play down the street...we'll definitely be back again soon! This place is an amazing find!!!

This restaurant is completely over-rated. Everything about it is average. Nothing is terrible, but why go somewhere that is average when there are so many great restaurants in Chicago?

I have to admit, We have been trying to go here for months, Finally did last week, It did not wow me at all, The servers and managers were pretentious, The food was just average, I do however believe someone in this place had people write some of these reviews as well as other sites, Noticed the same comments and grammar in 7-8 reviews, Try it if you want, But considering it's location and lack of parking and service you will regret it, I'm not a review fanatic but would have thought twice if someone else had taken the time to speak the truth, Many options within a mile to waste it here.

I have been to Fiorentino's at least 10 times and EVERY time I am amazed at how wonderful the food is. The owners and staff are friendly and warm and the atmosphere (both inside and on the patio) is relaxing and cozy. But it is truly the food that keeps me going back for more! Truly the best addition to the neighborhood in years!

The food here is very good, if unusually rich (even by Italian standards) -- the ingredients are fresh, and the quality is consistent. What keeps me coming back, though, (in addition to that quality & consistency) is the unfailing friendliness & helpfulness of the staff. Yeah, they're knowledgeable about the menu & their recommendations have always worked for me, but isn't that supposed to be the case? The thing that sets them apart is the fact that they'll bend over backwards and smile while doing it. Go. Eat. You won't be disappointed.
