A Celiac's Dream Come True!
By jasonlutz4533 from The Hood, April 27, 2009

I've been diagnosed with Celiac's Disease for 4 1/2 years. I haven't had pasta from a restaurant in a LONG time! This restaurant is incredible and delicious! I was given the gluten free menu and noticed about 10 options for appetizers alone! Mozzarella sticks??!! With breading??!! Delicious! I also had the cheese ravioli and ended the dinner with a huge gf cupcake with frosting...you know, the sugary kind with sprinkles! I haven't had anything like this in ages. It was our first trip, but not our last! My husband and daughter loved the regular entrees too! We were stuffed! Give it a try! You'll love it!

Best Lasagna Around and Vesuvio Potatoes too.....
By JOSEPHJEAN from Franklin Park, Illinois, April 1, 2009

I recently visited this restaurant for the second time and ordered the Lasagna. It is one of the best lasagna I have had in a restaurant. I am particular about Lasagna... it has to be filled with a lot of Ricotta cheese...this one is brimming with ricotta cheese. Most other restaurants put on a lot of sauce and mozzarellla. Not here... they don't skimp on the Ricotta. As a side dish, we ordered the Vesuvio potatoes. They are excellent. Not drowning in olive oil... just the right amount, with the right amount of garlic. Even though this restaurant emphasizes on a gluten free menu, I come for the "regular" food which is outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant. Also the environment is cozy and upbeat.

Awesome

My family recently enjoyed our 1st, and definitely not our last, trip to Da Luciano's. I have Celiac disease so needless to say, dining out is a chore and hassle sometimes.
Da Luciano's was a fabulous treat. The food and service was amazing. We all enjoyed it greatly. I highly recommend this culinary delight.
The only downfall is that we live 300 miles away! No worries, we'll be back.

I recently moved here from NY and have been trying to find an amazing Italian Restaurant that offers a Gluten Free menu and I will not have to look any further! Da Luciano's was delicious! The food, the atmoshere and the staff were all very accommodating and friendly! On top of the food being some of the best Gluten free iIhave ever tasted, the portions were HUGE! Great for lunch the next day!

I look forward to trying more things from their Gluten Free menu!! I would highly recommend this restaurant for all those with Celiac that was that pasta fix!

Everything at DaLuciano's is simply the best!

Outstanding food!
DaLuciano's offers a wide selection of authentic Italian dishes, fast and friendly service, and a tranquil setting, all at a an extremely reasonable price!

The menu offers something for everyone and if you don't see what you'd like, just ask! The owners will personally see to it that your every need is satisfied!

They are more than happy to answer your questions, and go out of their way to make your meal a more pleasing experience.

Wish we lived closer so we could be there every weekend!

I love DaLuciano's

I felt I had to comment after reading the last post. Please note, DaLuciano's is small in size, but big in great taste! I have Celiac so for m, the first time I went to DaLuciano's I almost cried! Baked clams, bread I could eat, Awesome Chicken Parmigian! Among many others! For us celiac's,these are not foods we take for granted! Not to mention delicous deserts - Canoli, Tiramasu, Cream Puffs - all Gluten Free - all wonderful!.

Other than the problems that a small restuarant will inheretently have, especially a good one (i.e. wait time) my only problem with DaLuciano's is that sometimes, your meal can take a longer time - this is not the place you go to for a fast meal. It is a place you go to for Great Food!

If your party is over 2 people, I would highly recommend reservations. They try their best to seat in a timely manner- but because it's good, it is often full! But oh so worth it!1

Bad first experience. We had...
By Mary from Bensenville, IL, April 30, 2007

Bad first experience. We had 6:15 reservations and didn't get seated till 7:00. The owner promised a bottle of wine for our troubles, but she didn't follow through with her promise. The food was good, but nothing fantastic. There was a party in front of us that knew the owners and even though their whole party hadn't arrive, they still seated them before us.There is a plaque when you walk in saying the customer is the most important thing, well not true in our case. I wouldn't recommend this to my friends or family.
