The boot-hopping menu at this Andersonville Italian spot features antipasti, salads, Neapolitan-style pizzas, pasta dishes and full-sized entrees. Selections include grilled calamari with arugula and lemon vinaigrette; fattoressa pizza with Italian ham, hard-boiled eggs, peas, mushrooms and fresh mozzarella; and rigatoni with ground sausage, cremini mushrooms, peas and tomato cream sauce. The low-key double storefront with an eye-catching striped awning out front features an open kitchen so you can watch the pizzaiolo work the wood-burning oven. If that's not enough entertainment, check out the street-scene photographs of Rome, Naples and Sicily. Faris FayCurry (actor-writer-producer and partner in the West Loop’s Dylan's Tavern & Grill and Villa Nova Restaurant) and Mario Rapisarda, whose lengthy resume includes kitchen time all over Europe and stints as a server at Coco Pazzo and Spiaggia here in Chicago, are behind the spot.
