This is a charming restaurant. The food is delicious -israelian salad
a favorite- and the prices are great. oh and I'm addicted to the
cafe au lait! I like to go there once a week.

Don't be put off by the unpretentious and plainliness of the place. We had a group of 11 on a Wednesday night and can't say enough good about our evening. Just about every item we had was absolutely delicious. The braised lamb shanks, whitefish, ground lamb over hummus, falafel appetizers, Israeli salad ... all excellent. Service was very efficient and very caring and the tab a bargain
Report This ReviewFood is excellent. Everything on the menu is made fresh daily and it's so cheap. I can walk out of there spending under $10 and that includes tax and tip.
Report This ReviewExcellent food and very friendly service. The inside is a little worn, but is comfortable. Great place to bring the family!
Report This ReviewVery tasty Israeli and Morrocan food at very low prices. We live in the neighborhood and come here for a good meal in a comfortable but plain setting. They are now open weds thru sunday.

Report This ReviewI was married into an Israeli family and this stuff is authentic. Not only is it delicious, it is inexpensive. A dive, yes, nothing fancy but the food is worth it! Love it.
Report This ReviewThe food here is pretty good and nothing costs more than $6. The staff can be extremely rude to "non-locals" though. This restaurant hires the worst waitresses in Chicago. My advice is order your food to-go. Try the "cigars," barakas, and salmon platters.
Report This ReviewPerhaps the last/best outpost of homemade "peasant" food in Chicago--featuring wonderful Moroccan-Israeli cuisine served at rock bottom prices in a clean dive like setting.
