Mirabelle
The old Mirabelle was bulldozed in fall 2006 to make way for Ravinia's new dining pavilion. It's been resurrected in the new space, including the original restaurant's signature "chef tables" (i.e. buffet-style dining -- they don't say "buffet" at Ravinia) from Levy Restaurants. The themes of the five tables change a few times a week; past themes have been American steakhouse, Chinatown and traditional Greek eats. The new incarnation has an airy, sophisticatedly outdoorsy feel with amber and olive hues throughout. The space seats 200 inside and 130 outside (the old Mirabelle had the reverse, which became problematic on rainy days). Target opening: June 4.
